A bug‑out bag / get home bag is a 72‑hour emergency kit designed to keep you alive and mobile during
crises like natural disasters, evacuations, or civil unrest. The goal is to be self‑sufficient for three days,
with a pack that’s light enough to carry but complete enough to cover survival basics.
Core Survival Essentials
1. Water
● 1 L bottle (minimum)
● Collapsible water container, bladder, hydration bag
● Water purification tablets or filter (e.g., Sawyer Mini, LifeStraw)
● Electrolyte packets
Tip: Hydration is your top priority—plan for 1 L of water per person, per day.
2. Food
● 2,000 + calories per day (3 days supply minimum)
● Lightweight, high‑calorie options like:

● Freeze‑dried or vacuum‑sealed meals
